ISO 9001:2015 QMS Certification

ISO 9001 is a world recognized quality management standard that helps organisations to meet the expectations and needs of their customers. Quality is something the Fund strives for. The Fund aims at entrenching best practices in line with its Vision to be the best-in-class pension fund in Africa. By applying the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) is keen on continually improving its performance and delivery of services to the members.

The Fund first became ISO certified in April 2014 and was due for renewal of the ISO 9001:2008 certificate, which was to expire this year. The Fund however opted to pursue certification under the brand new standard, ISO 9001:2015. This new standard is a richer version of quality management system and in particular focuses on risk management and an expanded list of business’ stakeholders.

The Fund becomes the first pension fund in Kenya to attain ISO 9001:2015 certification. Achieving this level of certification demonstrates the Fund’s ability and desire to effectively implement and maintain a quality management system that assures continual improvement of internal processes and service delivery to members. The Fund is committed to inculcating a culture of enterprise risk management that is aimed at managing identified strategic and operational risks through a structured, proactive and integrated system.
